In Rochester, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across New York do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 AMβ2 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (585) 445-5770. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, grapparoc.com.

Good food, good service, nice place for a dinner event. The garlic parmesan fries were crispy and nice and the sweet potato fries with hot honey were also delicious. We got a reservation for our group

Much thanks to the hostess Rachel for ensuring a delightful graduation/Motherβs Day seating. We had a party of 7 attend and enjoyed great apps like the antipasto with prosciutto and calamari. The menu afforded everyone with their favorite main course option and the wine selection was ample to the acquired tastes of all. Thank you for the great service and option for a quieter seating area on the other side of the bar.

This was a great place for dinner or drinks! It's in Collegetown near U. Rochester and the Strong Hospital. Parking is very easy in the lot or the free garage. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a modern feel and a large bar area. Nice wine and drink menu. The service was excellent. Very attentive waitstaff. We had a party of 5. The food all came out quickly and together. I had the burrata chicken. In our party we also had the Grappa burger, gnocchi with meatballs, and the duck pasta dish. Everyone was satisfied. We stayed for dessert and had the cheesecake, custard, and their apple specialty. All were great! This restaurant makes its own bread, pasta and mozzarella on premise which is a special added touch. Would definitely return in the future!

I visited Grappa on Sunday April 19th as I was staying for a night. I made it there around 6:15pm from a 6 hour drive to Rochester for work! The hotel there is very nice and the entryway for Grappa is welcoming! I was greeted by bartender, Shane!? lol. I think it was Shane and he was great! He made me a special fruity drink with raspberries and I ordered chicken fettuccini which was delicious! I also ordered a delicious dessert that I canβt find name for LOL. Anywho, I had a great dinner! I would recommend to anyone, even solely on the space itself which is fancy! Shane was great too! Give him a raise. ππ©΅

Overall, Grappa is a really nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good food. Itβs a little pricy, but not outrageous. The white pizza is one of the best pizzas Iβve ever had. The sauce is rich and creamy, the crust is crispy and buttery, and the cheese has this delicious sharpness. For $19 itβs pretty expensive for what is essentially a medium pizza, but it is very much worth trying! The Grappa burger was cooked perfectly (I asked for Medium) and was very juicy and flavorful. I still liked the pizza better. The chips on the side are just okay. I tried the Rigatoni Ala Utica and it was wonderful! The sauce is cheesy, creamy, and a little spicy. An amazing combination that I wasnβt expecting to work so well. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the chicken was a delicious addition. The truffle and Parmesan fries are $9. Honestly, they were also just okay. They are crispy and tasty. But I felt that for the price they honestly werenβt worth it. The service was great, the wait staff were always checking on us and were extremely friendly. For large groups a service charge of ~20% is applied automatically, which I took to be the gratuity? Just keep that in mind if youβre there with a l
